Packer

Our client is seeking to fill a Packer position to review job orders and make the right adjustments to printing machines - Installing parts and supplies such as ink rollers, screens, printing plates and stencils according to the job specifications and blueprints - Testing inks and paints on the printing surface to determine suitability - Handling production of the printed materials, including the printing and racking process, to ensure it meets the specifications and is ready on schedule - Performing maintenance tasks on the printing machine - Troubleshooting equipment issues such as creaking noises, etc. - Cleaning the printing press and peripherals.

  • Prepare and package products according to company specifications and quality     standards.
  • Review job orders to ensure correct materials, labels, and packaging are used.
  • Inspect printed materials for defects, ensuring proper alignment, color, and finish before packing.
  • Assemble boxes, cartons, or other containers and securely package products to prevent damage during shipping or storage.
  • Operate packaging machinery and adjust settings as needed for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Label and tag products correctly for identification, inventory, or shipping.
  • Stack, wrap, and palletize packed materials for storage or distribution.
  • Perform basic maintenance on packing equipment, including cleaning and troubleshooting minor issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Familiarity with packaging equipment and materials
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments

Preferred

  • Forklift certification
