Chemical Engineer - Explosives/Mining

The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a permanent Chemical Engineer to join our Industrial Client on the outskirts of Sudbury, Ontario. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

The successful individual will be conducting research on emulsifiers and emulsion explosives. They will also be responsible for evaluating alternative raw materials, characterisation and optimisation of current products.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Experience with effective planning and execution of research projects

• Accurately recording data as per guidelines

• Conduct chemical analysis and presenting results in a report format

• Adherence to SHERQ policies

• Support manufacturing plants with product and process innovation/optimization

Requirements:

• B.Sc or M.Sc. in Physical or Analytical Chemistry

• Must have a minimum of 3 years experience working as a chemist in a production environment

• 2 years of experience working with explosives
