Expression of Interest - Mill Operators Remote Camp Mine Site

The Mill Operator is responsible for the safe and reliable operation and basic maintenance of our Client’s processing plant circuits. The Mill Operator will work collaboratively with the team to deliver execution of the integrated plan and schedule.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY & DUTIES:

AREA 1: Safe and reliable equipment operation.

• Ensure that in all aspects of the operation, environmental policies and practices are followed keeping

the preservation of the natural environment a priority.

• Perform Lock Out and Tag Out procedures on processing equipment as required.

• Ensure adherence to all pre-operational checks and procedural requirements to safely start-up,

efficiently operate, and safely shutdown all process equipment.

• Identify faults, troubleshoot, and report any deficiencies on all equipment.

• Develop an understanding of all the mill circuits through training, reading, and hands-on experience.

• Identify maintenance problems and maintain acceptable housekeeping in designated area.

• Ability to work under pressure and have sound judgement.

3.0 SAFETY & SUSTAINABILITY EXPECTATIONS

Work in compliance with company policies, the Act, applicable regulations.

Use and wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing required to safely perform their work.

Report any absence of or defect in equipment or protective device.

4.0 SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY & COMPLEXITY

• Operating and monitoring various circuits in the processing plant as required by the supervisor.

Circuits could include:

o Primary (gyratory) and secondary (cone) crushing, grinding, CIP/leach, ADR, refinery, tailings

and mill auxiliary equipment.

o Hot Changes may be required in critical areas of the process.

• Work is performed under general direction and assigned in terms of specific objectives to be

achieved.

• Develop an understanding of all the mill circuits through training, reading, and hands-on

experience

• Uses electronic process monitoring system to monitor conveyor, plant systems and equipment.

• Decisions primarily impact the productivity of the unit, team or process supported.

• Requires considerable initiative and judgment in delivering results.

• Resolves problems requiring judgment to select a solution from several alternatives.

• Ability to be flexible in job tasks and responsibilities so that work is balanced between team

members

• Demonstrated ability to share knowledge gained with others across all departments and the

ability to solve problems as a team.

5.0 QUALIFICATIONS & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, FORMAL EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS OR EQUIVALENTS

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent is required.

• Mill common core and specialty modules are considered an asset.

• basic computer literacy.

• Good communication skills (radio, verbal and written).

6.0 WORK EXPERIENCE – NATURE & LENGTH

• 6 months of mineral processing experience,

and/or 2 years milling experience,

and/or 4 years industrial experience.

7.0 ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED

• Computer proficiency is an asset.

• Experience with OSISoft Pi and HMIs is considered an asset.

• Communication skills (both verbal and written)

• Sound knowledge of milling fundamentals.
