Main Purpose of the Job:

Primaryduties include general production labour activities under the direction of amentor employee that include product assembly and various machine operationactions.

‍

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Setupand change product materials in accordance with the production plan

·       Continuouslymaintain or exceed production efficiency goals

·       Operateor tend automatic or multi-purpose machines including wire looms to producemetal parts and metal products such as wire screening, fencing, tinware, metalbaskets, racks, hooks, metal tubing and similar articles

·       Fitand assemble components using hand and power tools

·       Clean,polish, file or otherwise finish products

·       Checkproducts for quality and other specifications

·       Mayclean and lubricate machinery

·       Workin accordance with all Health and Safety policies and procedures

·       Otherduties may be assigned accordingly

Qualifications:

·       SecondarySchool Diploma or higher

·       Previousmanufacturing experience

·       Aptitudefor Math, problem solving, computer and mechanics

·       Attentionto detail

·       Abilityto work and communicate well with others

·       Proficiencywith hand tools

·       Willingto perform repetitive tasks for extended periods

Working Conditions

·      MachineOperators almost always work indoors, in a warehouse setting, work outdoors onrare occasions to work in special working conditions.

·      Dusty workingenvironment

·      Work nearco-workers, but usually have a few feet of space

·      Wear gloves,hard hats or other protective attire

Physical Requirements

·       Strength Guidelines

·       Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Prolongedstanding, walking, lifting bending, squatting, kneeling

·       Vision and Hearing Requirements
