Senior Procurement Analyst
Our client is seeking a qualified Senior Procurement Analyst to join its team, based in Montreal. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this role supports the procurement of equipment and project services in support of a large, complex capital project.
The Senior Procurement Analyst plays a key role in procurement execution and administration, supporting market engagement, tendering, contract administration, purchase order processing, expediting, and reporting. This position requires experience working in large project environments, preferably within an EPCM or owner‑led delivery model, and close coordination with Engineering, Logistics, and Project Controls teams.
- Support the execution of procurement activities for equipment and service packages, in accordance with approved procurement strategies and project requirements
- Prepare and issue RFQs, RFPs, bid packages, and purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with corporate policies
- Coordinate bid receipt, bid evaluations, and clarification processes in collaboration with Engineering and other stakeholders
- Support contract award processes, including preparation of commercial comparisons, recommendations, and approval documentation
- Maintain procurement records, contract documentation, and supplier data within procurement and ERP systems
- Track supplier progress and delivery schedules, supporting expediting activities for critical and long‑lead items
- Coordinate closely with the Logistics team to ensure shipment readiness, delivery requirements, and materials tracking are aligned with site needs
- Interface with Engineering to confirm technical deliverables, data submissions, and documentation requirements are met by suppliers
- Assist with materials management support activities, including tracking of equipment deliveries, receipt confirmation, and inventory status
- Support operations readiness by assisting with procurement and tracking of operating spares, consumables, and start‑up materials
- Prepare regular procurement status reports, including spend tracking, delivery status, risks, and issues
- Support supplier performance monitoring, issue resolution, and corrective actions as required
- Assist in the transition of procurement documentation, supplier information, and asset records from Project execution to Operations
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- 5–10+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles supporting large capital or industrial projects
- Experience working in a large project, EPCM, or owner‑led project environment
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, including tendering, contracting, purchase order administration, and supplier coordination
- Experience supporting vendor expediting and delivery tracking on long‑lead or critical equipment packages
- Ability to work collaboratively with Procurement, Engineering, Logistics, Construction, and Project Controls teams
- Bilingualism (English and French) is required
- Familiarity with procurement and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment
- Experience working on remote, industrial, or early‑stage project environments is considered an asset
