Underground Mobile Equipment Supervisor

The Mobile Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the safe and effective supervision with the planning and execution of site mobile equipment servicing and repair. In this role you will lead a team in the development and execution of planned maintenance activities by consistently applying asset management processes that contribute to high availability, and cost-effective maintenance practices. Manage day to day effective labor application and prioritize unexpected breakdown work that may arise from time to time.     This position is located at the Project site, working on a 5-4 schedule in the Greater Sudbury area.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates leadership in Health, Safety and Environment through personal behaviors and conversations.

• Be a courageous health, safety, and environment leader, adhere to and promote health, safety and environmental standards, policies and procedures.
• Conduct daily, weekly and monthly general inspections of the work areas and document findings and resolutions.
• Promote a proactive approach of continuous improvement by reporting all Health, Safety and Environment incidents and proactively resolve and communicate solutions.  
• Participate in Health, Safety and Environment initiatives, reviews, and investigations.
• Lead and empower employees in achieving operating targets and improve employee work performance and efficiency through mentorship, coaching, and feedback.
• Supervise and develop a safe and efficient maintenance team, to meet maintenance KPIs, including schedules and production targets.
• Manage, monitor, and adhere to the approved maintenance work management program by ensuring compliance to planned and scheduled work orders.
• Allocate maintenance coverage for breakdowns. Participate, investigate, document, and resolve on the job issues (with regards to planned maintenance activities, maintenance shutdowns, etc.)
• Interface with planners and Supervisors to assist in planning and scheduling of work.
• Control non-standard maintenance situations with immediate actions and proactively scan the maintenance operation for improvements.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
